In Short : Madhya Pradesh has launched its Renewable Energy Policy 2025, targeting 50% green power by 2030 and ₹50,000 crore investment by 2027. The policy promotes 10,000 MW renewable parks, energy exports, and job creation. Incentives include tax exemptions and land rebates, strengthening the state’s role in India’s clean energy transition and sustainable economic growth.

In Detail : Madhya Pradesh has introduced its Renewable Energy Policy 2025, aiming to source 50% of its total power consumption from renewable energy by 2030. The policy sets interim targets of 20% by 2024 and 30% by 2027. It focuses on large-scale renewable energy adoption to strengthen the state’s position in India’s clean energy sector.

To achieve these goals, the state plans to attract ₹50,000 crore in investments by 2027, with an initial target of ₹15,000 crore by 2024. Additionally, ₹10,000 crore will be invested in renewable energy equipment manufacturing by 2027, ensuring a robust supply chain for green energy projects. These investments are expected to boost economic growth and industrial development.

The policy includes the development of 10,000 MW of renewable and hybrid energy parks by 2027. Madhya Pradesh also plans to export 4,000 MW of renewable power to other states by 2024, increasing this capacity to 10,000 MW by 2027. These measures will help meet the growing demand for clean energy across the country.

Several incentives have been introduced to encourage investment in the sector. These include a 100% electricity duty exemption for ten years, a 50% reimbursement on stamp duty for private land purchases, and a 50% rebate on circle rates for government land. Such initiatives aim to make renewable energy projects more financially viable.

The policy also emphasizes job creation and skill development, aiming to generate over 10,000 new jobs by 2024 and 50,000 by 2030. It promotes vocational training programs to develop a skilled workforce for the renewable energy industry. Government departments are also expected to achieve 50% green energy compliance by 2027 and 100% by 2030.

Madhya Pradesh plans to develop model renewable energy cities and green zones by 2030, following a net-zero framework. By integrating sustainability into urban development, the state seeks to position itself as a leader in renewable energy. This comprehensive policy supports India’s broader goal of transitioning to clean energy and achieving long-term sustainability.
