
Mahindra Electric and Lithium Urban Technologies announce achieving 100 million e-kilometers
The partnership has crossed 1,000 Mahindra electric vehicles in the Lithium fleet
New Delhi: Mahindra Electric, a subsidiary of the Mahindra Group and Bangalore-based electric vehicles (EV) fleet operator Lithium Urban Technologies today announced their partnership has clocked 100 million electric kilometers (e-kms) with over 500 Mahindra EVs running more than 100,000 e-kms.
Mahindra has so far sold around 30,000 electric vehicles. “Our partnership is aimed at increasing the large scale adoption of EVs and expanding portfolio in 3 Wheelers and 4 wheelers category. We want to focus much more on the shared mobility within 150 km range and not on personal mobility,” Pawan Goenka, Managing Director, Mahindra & Mahindra said.
Lithium Urban Technologies’ Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer Sanjay Krishnan said the company is hopeful of expanding continuously and crossing a billion e-kilmeter in a few years.
The companies also claimed they have together helped cut over 20,000 tonne of Carbon Dioxide emissions and save 850,000 litres of fuel through e-mobility.
