Job Description
Plan and perform aggressive business development activities for meeting the sales plan defined for Conventional Power Plant business across South Asia.
Update the regional business development plan on quarterly basis to identify key market segments size and drivers, competition & partners.
Initiate, maintain, and cultivate key internal and external relationships. Determines which personnel, within client organization, to cultivate relationships with to obtain new business or maintain existing relationship.
Use strategic research & networking for building the high quality prospection plan and follows leads for new projects and increased scope of work for existing projects. This includes client-focused presentations, attending trade shows, conferences, and special events to foster relationships.
Understands the proposal effort. Assist in the evaluation and pricing process. Participates on proposal presentations for management and review board(s). Provides key differentiators to use.
Coordinate the development of pre-tender approvals documentation in support of Go/No Go decision making processes as required to comply with company processes.
Follow-ups with clients to address concerns or issues and communicates those to management. Maintains and drives action items from Client Satisfaction Feedback sessions.
Prepare regular progress reports regarding project pipeline activities and actively update and maintain the CRM system.
Participates in Region new business development meetings to facilitate and lead team selling synergies within the Region.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education Qualification B.Tech in Mech. Engg / Elect. Engg./Power Engg
And or Masters in Power Sector
Years of Experience: Min 10 years of Business Development experience of which at least 6 years in Conventional power sector and minimum 3 years in renewable energy sector (Solar PV & Wind)

Strong technical knowledge on conventional power plant project life cycle and Equipments (e.g. Steam Boilers, HRSG, Steam Turbines, Balance of Plant etc.) and Renewable Energy power plants (Solar PV & Wind)
Knowledge of Power sector and key stake holders (IPPs, EPC, State Owned Utilities, OEMs) in ASEAN.
Leading the govt. tender preparation for Conventional Power Plants and Renewable Power Plants
Hands on experience of preparing proposals (FTP) for IFIs (ADB, World Bank, JICA, etc)
Onsite/field work experience in Project Management, Consulting, preparing DPRs, renovation & modernization of conventional power plants
Capability to manage the team.
Must have excellent communication skills
Experience with Consulting sector or Engineering firms will be added advantage
Knowledge of Gas downstream activities and LNG (FSRU & FSU) will be added advantage
Education:UG -B.Tech/B.E. – Electrical, Mechanical
PG – Any Postgraduate
