MEYER BURGER PUBLISHES PRELIMINARY KEY FIGURES FOR THE 2017 ANNUAL RESULTS
Meyer Burger publishes preliminary key figures for the 2017 annual results
Meyer Burger Technology Ltd (SIX Swiss Exchange: MBTN) today announced preliminary unaudited results for the 2017 fiscal year: The company received approximately CHF 560 million in new orders, which is by far the highest level of the past six years, and an increase in the Compared to the previous year of 23% (2016: CHF 455.6 million). Order backlog as at 31 December 2017 was around CHF 343 million, reflecting an increase of 40% over the previous year (31/12/2016: CHF 244.5 million). As a result, Meyer Burger has a solid starting base for the newly launched reporting year 2018.
Net sales amounted to approximately CHF 473 million or + 4% compared to the 2016 reporting year. Meyer Burger thus exceeded its previous sales guidance of CHF 440-460 million. At EBITDA level, the Company is currently maintaining its guidance of a profit in the range of CHF 5-15 million (2016: CHF 10.5 million). In net earnings, Meyer Burger expects a slight reduction in the loss in the 2017 financial year (2016: CHF -97.1 million). As previously communicated, the annual result for 2017 will be charged to the income statement Extraordi- nary result (in profit and loss statement above profit before tax) by various non-recurring non-cash extraordinary expenses,
