MNRE:Funds for Solar Power Plants

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy has released Rs.125.64 crore and Rs.387 crore have been released to State Governments/implementing agencies for setting up of grid connected solar power plants during the year 2013-14 and 2014-15 respectively. This was stated by Shri Piyush Goyal, Minister of State (IC) for Power, Coal & New and Renewable Energy in a written reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha today.
The Minister further stated that the Government monitors the progress of solar power projects regularly. As on 26.11.2015, the cumulative installed grid-interactive solar power generation capacity in the country is 4666 MW, the Minister added.
