MP will become no 1 in Green Energy: CM Chouhan
The Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that Madhya Pradesh will become number one state in the field of green energy in the country. Various efforts are undertaken by the State Government to encourage use and production of renewable energy sources. Chouhan was addressing the investor community during the road show held at Mumbai on Friday to attract investment in the field of renewable energy.
Chouhan said that the State Government wants to work as a team with the investors for the fast development and progress of the state. Green energy is the energy of future. A 750 megawatt solar power plant, the biggest in the world, is being set up in Rewa with an investment of Rs 4500 crore. He urged the companies working in the field of green energy to invest in Madhya Pradesh. The State has worked excellently in the field of green energy.
Minister for Commerce and Industry Rajendra Shukla said that work done in the field of renewable energy during last few years is historic. He urged the investors to become a partner of the state in the field of green energy.
Minister of State for New and Renewable Energy (Independent Charge) Harsh Singh, Chairman of the Energy Development Corporation, S Vijendra Singh Sisodiya and the Chief Secretary Antony D’sa were present on the occasion. Principal Secretary New and renewable Energy Manu Shrivastava gave a presentation on the works carried out in the field of renewable energy in the state till now.
