Commenting on the Paris agreement, Mr. Hitesh Doshi – Chairman and Managing Director of Waaree Energies Ltd. said “ The Paris agreement means that the governments across the globe will go advance and quicker to wrestle climate change than ever before. This agreement would be able to send a powerful signal that the world is fully committed to a low-carbon future. The shift to a low carbon economy is now unstoppable. Finally, it appears that the world has a solid and widely acceptable framework for cooperating on climate change, which was missing all these years .”From India’s perspective, I think that the concerns of developing nations like us have been addressed to a large extent and whether or not this agreement becomes a true turning point for the world depends on how earnestly countries follow through on this agreement.
