MSEDCL bags 7 awards; Maharashtra best state for promoting renewable energy – EQ Mag Pro
MUMBAI : The state power utility firm, MSEDCL, was honoured with seven awards at the national level “Power Awards 2022′. It won the first prize among states for promoting renewable energy.
The other awards included one for electric vehicle charging station, outstanding performance award in the best performing power distribution company, for RF metering and meter data, award for best innovation in customer service and information technology service category, outstanding distribution company for raising consumer awareness, and for being the one of the fastest electrifying company in rural areas during the past decade.
The Power Award 2022 has been announced by the Independent Power Producers Association of India(IPPAI) for evaluating the performance of various power distribution companies in the country. The awards were given by Union Power ministry joint secretary Ghanshyam Prasad.
Energy minister Nitin Raut and MSEDCL managing director Vijay Singhal lauded the efforts taken by thousands of staffers who worked 24×7 despite Covid-19 pandemic and the cyclone and floods in the recent past.
