Mumbai: Brace for spike in power bill as readings start

MUMBAI: Power bills for June are likely to be higher than in previous months for many consumers. Utility firms such as Adani Electricity have clarified this will be due to the bills being based on “actual meter readings” for the first time since the lockdown began.

Consumption is usually lower in winter than in summer, which is why the March-May actuals for many are likely to be higher than the averages, officials said.
