NBCC signs MoU with Navodaya Vidyalaya – EQ

In short : NBCC has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Navodaya Vidyalaya to collaborate on various educational and infrastructure projects. This partnership aims to enhance the quality of educational facilities and promote the development of schools under the Navodaya scheme, focusing on improving learning environments and resources for students across the country.

In Detail : Bengaluru – NBCC (India) Ltd. has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti to embark on a transformative educational initiative. This partnership aims to construct three new permanent campus facilities in Delhi and implement solar and electric water heating systems in 331 Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas across India. The cumulative value of the above works is Rs. 227.37 Crore.

The MoU was signed by Shri K.V. Reddy, General Manager, Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti and Shri Anil Kumar, Chief General Manager, NBCC at a ceremony which was attended by Shri K.P. Mahadevaswamy, Chairman and Managing Director, NBCC, Shri Saleem Ahmad, Director (Projects), NBCC and other key officials from both the organizations. The MoU highlights a shared commitment to enhancing educational infrastructure while promoting sustainable practices. This initiative is set to significantly improve the learning environment for students across various regions, ensuring they have access to modern amenities.

Construction of Three New Campuses: NBCC will oversee the development of three state-of-the-art permanent campus facilities in Delhi. This includes construction of phase A and B of JNV, Narela valuing Rs. 39.36 Crore, construction of JNV Shahdara valuing Rs. 74.56 Crore and construction of JNV East Delhi valuing Rs. 74.99 Crore. These campuses are designed to provide students with modern educational environments, fostering learning and innovation.

Sustainable Energy Solutions: In a move towards environmental sustainability, NBCC will implement solar and electric water heating systems in 331 Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas throughout India.
