NTPC Bags CBIP 2020 Award for its Outstanding Contribution to the Power Sector
New Delhi: NTPC Ltd, India’s largest power generation company has bagged the prestigious recognition from Central Board of Irrigation and Power (CBIP) 2020 award for outstanding performing utility in Thermal Power Sector.
The award recognises NTPC’s outstanding contribution to the Nation by setting new benchmarks in Generation and Maintenance practices, excellence in Engineering and use of latest State-of-the-art technologies and Smart Solutions.
Shri Rattan Lal Kataria, Hon’ble Minister of State, Ministry of Jal Shakti presented the award to Shri Prakash Tiwari, Director (Operations). Shri Prakash Mhaske, Chairperson Central Electrical Authority (CEA), Shri R K Jain, Chairman, Central Water Commission and Shri V K Kajaria, Secretary, CBIP were present on the occasion.
The CBIP Awards recognise outstanding contributions by organisations involved in the formulation of policies and programmes and their implementation, research and development, design, execution, management, operation and maintenance, renovation & modernisation, manufacturing of equipment and capacity building in the development of Water Resources, Power and Renewable Energy Sectors in the country.
