The project involves the installation of 224 wind turbine generators, each with a minimum capacity of 3 MW. The selected bidder will be responsible for the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of the project. This includes designing, supplying, erecting, testing, and commissioning unit substations for each turbine, along with the necessary electrical work for grid integration.
To qualify, bidders must be manufacturers of wind turbine generators listed in the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s Revised List of Models and Manufacturers. Additionally, financial eligibility criteria require an average annual turnover over the last three financial years, calculated as ₹10.56 million multiplied by the quoted capacity in megawatts.
The deadline for bid submission is May 7, 2025, with the bids set to be opened on the same day. The project is expected to attract major wind energy players, given the scale and strategic importance of expanding wind power generation in Maharashtra. The state currently has a wind energy capacity of over 5,279 MW.
