Celebrating Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, NTPC Farakka is participating in the 8th Indian National Exhibition cum Fair organized by Bengal Human Resource Development Foundation at Kolkata.
This year, the theme of the exhibition is ‘Science and Technology for Sustainable Development in India’. As a leading player in the world energy sector, NTPC displayed its various technological marvels, built utilizing renewable energy sources for improving efficiency, reducing cost and for sustainable power generation.
The exhibition was attended by hundreds of school students who learned about the innovative use of technology by NTPC, such as the Solar Power Sea Water Desalination System, Fly Ash based Geo-Polymer Concrete Road, and the Largest Floating Solar PV System, all developed by NETRA.
The students were especially eager to take pledge for Conserving Energy at the NTPC pavilion.
NTPC Farakka also showcased its commendable work in bringing advanced technology to the remotest villages of Farakka, through initiatives like, Solar powered water pumps, smart class and sanitary napkin vending machines at local schools and mobile medical units.
