Oben Rorr Electric Motorcycle Launched In India, Priced At 99,999 – EQ Mag Pro
At present, Oben Electric retails the Oben Rorr electric motorcycle only in Bengaluru, with deliveries to commence from May 2022.
Bengaluru-based Oben Electric launched its flagship Oben Rorr electric motorcycle in India, at a starting price of ₹ 99,999 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru), after receiving state and central government subsidies. The pre-bookings for the Oben Rorr electric motorcycle are open at an initial token amount of ₹ 999. At present, Oben Electric retails the Oben Rorr electric motorcycle only in Bengaluru, with deliveries to commence from May 2022. The company also plans to enter seven more states in Q2 of 2022. Oben Electric’s manufacturing facility in Bengaluru has an estimated production capacity of 3 lakh units per year and will soon become operational.

Oben Rorr electric motorcycle features a neo-classic design with a 0-40 acceleration time of 3 seconds, and a top speed of 100 kmph. It takes about 2 hours to fully charge the 4.4kWh fixed battery pack, and then takes about 200 km for the next charge up. While details on the variants is limited, we know that the Oben Rorr electric motorcycle will get three colours to opt from.
The Rorr electric motorcycle is also connected via an app that stores information related to motor, battery, controller, and drivetrain. Its connected features include maintenance update, ride details, battery status, geo-fencing, geo-tagging, battery theft protection, charging station locator, on-demand service, and roadside assistance.
Oben Electric anticipates a steady sales figure through a robust dealership network across the above states in Q2. With a focus on customer satisfaction and after-sales support, the company will also follow the hub-and-spoke model for making spare parts available on time, along with doorstep servicing.
