According to the state government, the said projects are likely to create employment opportunities for 27,030 people in the state. Among the sectors that are likely to get the investments primarily include green energy and IT infrastructure.

Clearing a new green infrastructure roadmap, the Odisha government on Thursday cleared nine industrial projects worth Rs 1,53,074.63 crore during a High Level Clearance Authority (HLCA) meeting chaired by Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik. The ‘memorandum of intent’ for these projects were signed during the recently concluded Make In Odisha Conclave 2022.

According to the state government, the said projects are likely to create employment opportunities for 27,030 people in the state. Among the sectors that are likely to get these investments primarily include green energy and IT infrastructure.

The high level committee chaired by Odisha chief minister has cleared four projects in the Green Energy and 1 project in the IT Infrastructure sector.

As per the Odisha government under the proposed IT & Infrastructure project cleared by ‘High Level Clearance Authority’, an IT infrastructure with modern amenities will be developed with an investment of Rs1,525.50 crores in Khordha. The project is expected to provide employment opportunities to 2500 people.

Among the four green energy projects cleared by HLCA include a proposal to set up a Green Hydrogen plant and a Green Ammonia plant with a capacity of 1.1 million MT, at Kujanga, Jagatsinghpur and a captive Renewable Energy Unit (4500 MW Solar Power Plant) at Koraput & Kalahandi district. Two other Green Energy projects include Green Ammonia plant and installation of Green Ammonia plant.
