Odisha: Solar Lamps Distributed among 25,000 KISS Students
Solar lamps were distributed among 25,000 students of Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) by Dr. P. V. Ramesh, CMD, Rural Electrification Corporation Ltd. at a programme here on April 20, 2017. The solar lamps were given away by Rural Electrification Corporation as a part of its CSR activities. The lamps have been made by Solar Energy Corporation of India.Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Ramesh said, “I have never seen such a huge tribal residential institution in my life. It not only provides free education to the tribal children, but also takes care of their all round development. The initiative taken by Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KISS & KIIT for total transformation of tribal children is really praiseworthy”. Among others, Mr. Sanjeev Garg, Executive Director (CSR & Finance), Rural Electrification Corporation; Surendra Pradhan, Chief Project Manager; R. N. Dash, Secretary, KIIT & KISS; Dr. Prashant Kumar Routray, CEO, KISS were also present on the occasion.
