Operations Manager – Rooftop Solar
Job description:
Lead operations during the life cycle of Rooftop Solar EPC projects. Ensure compliance of all the milestones and completion of the projects in time within the estimated budget and with an improved margin.
Coordinate with internal departments, and arrange for relevant contractors & sub-contractors to ensure installation and commissioning of projects.
Interface with relevant authorities DISCOMS and authorities such as CEIG both directly and indirectly and arrange for successfully commissioning of projects as per government norms.
Key Responsibilities:
Project coordination across verticals and departments.
Mid-Size Team Selection and Management
Lead site teams to achieve project targets.
Project planning and resource allocation for the project.
Create and maintain effective relationship with the clients.
Negotiate with contractors on scope, terms & conditions and select the right ones in line with project requirement.
Regular reporting to the general management.
Detecting and reporting of risks in project execution according to organization escalation principles
Ensure that the performance and completion of the project are within contractual terms and ensure finance control for margin retention/improvement.
Perform technical and administrative management con ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of the project activities.
Ensure Occupational Risk Prevention and manage project environmental Impact
Ensure compliance with the obligations of vendors and subcontractors.
Skills Expected
Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
Networking and relationship management with clients.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Strong working knowledge of Solar PV technology and System Integration for Solar Power Plants.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Civil Engineering from a reputed institute.
Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in managing Rooftop Solar operations.

Good in prioritizing tasks and co-ordination
