In Short : Orb Energy has launched a 35 MW solar park in Karnataka, covering 110 acres. Designed for SMEs, the park allows businesses to buy plots and own solar sub-arrays, offering a cost-effective entry into renewable energy. The park generates 5.24 crore units annually, cutting CO2 emissions by 45,000 tonnes. Orb aims to develop 400 MW of solar parks across India by 2030.

In Detail : Orb Energy has unveiled its first 35 MW (DC) ground-mounted solar park in Arsikere, Karnataka. Spanning across 110 acres, the park is designed to support small and medium enterprises (SMEs) by providing them with an affordable way to adopt renewable energy. Businesses can purchase plots and own their solar sub-arrays, which offers a cost-effective and scalable solution for sustainable power.

This solar park has the capacity to generate approximately 5.24 crore units of green electricity annually, contributing to a significant reduction in carbon emissions. The park helps cut down 45,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions every year, aligning with Orb Energy’s mission to promote sustainable energy solutions that mitigate climate change.

The park is part of Orb Energy’s broader vision to develop around 400 MW of solar parks specifically tailored for SMEs across India by the end of this decade. The company has committed to investing approximately ₹2,000 crore to expand this initiative and provide SMEs with access to affordable renewable energy.

One of the key components of Orb Energy’s approach is its innovative financing solutions. The company has already disbursed over ₹300 crore through its zero-collateral financing program, which allows businesses to invest in solar installations without the need for significant upfront costs. This program has made solar energy more accessible to a wider range of enterprises.

The establishment of the solar park in Karnataka represents a significant milestone for Orb Energy’s efforts to promote renewable energy solutions for SMEs. By offering scalable and affordable solar options, the company is helping businesses improve their energy independence while lowering their operational costs. This initiative also supports India’s broader renewable energy goals.

Looking ahead, Orb Energy plans to continue expanding its solar park projects across India. With a focus on innovation and sustainability, the company aims to further strengthen India’s clean energy transition and support the growth of the SME sector by providing accessible and reliable solar power solutions.
