Plus Solar is one of the top nominees for EY’s 2019 Entrepreneur of the Year Award

“Entrepreneur of the Year-2019 Malaysia’s Top Nominees” for the category of “Emerging Entrepreneur”. Not only was this recognition acknowledged by Plus Solar, but it was featured on The Edge and Nanyang Siang Pau.
“While this achievement is a milestone for us, it is only one of the many results of the passion, innovation and dedication we put our minds and hearts towards, together”, stated Ko on this recent achievement. This award is one of the world’s most prestigious business award programs for entrepreneurs, recognizing entrepreneurial activity among those with leadership and achievement while inspiring others to lead successful and dynamic businesses. According to an EOY advisory partner as stated in The Edge, the nominees were praised for their leadership, which inspires uniqueness, purpose, innovation and excellence.
Additionally, the “Entrepreneur of the Year” celebrates business leaders by recognizing them through regional, national and global awards in more than 145 cities in over 60 countries. In order to qualify for “Entrepreneur of the Year”, applicants must complete the application provided by EY, in the form of written responses on why the organization fits the award category. Then, the award panellists will short-list candidates after conducting a thorough review process, which include personal interviews and an independent judging process. Criteria to select the Entrepreneur of the Year winners are based on their entrepreneurial spirit, value creation, strategic direction, national & global impact, innovation and finally, personal integrity or purpose-driven leadership.
As the nation’s leading total clean energy solutions provider, EY’s Entrepreneur of the Year is a notable achievement not only because of its calibre, but it is also a huge encouragement for us to continue reshaping the way energy is generated and consumed, one community at a time. To date, we have collectively completed more than 125MWp of grid-connected solar systems and large-scale systems throughout Malaysia.
