POSCO Daewoo will help build solar modules production facility and photovoltaic plant in Uzbekistan

Chairman of the Uzbek Investments Committee Azim Ahmadhojaev and CEO/President of POSCO Daewoo Joung Sang Kim signed an agreement on projects of solar modules production facility and construction of photovoltaic plant in Uzbekistan.
Within the framework of the project, the South Korean company will help build capacities for production of modules for solar panels and construction of 2-GW solar photovoltaic stations under public-private partnership model.
The project cost is estimated at $ 637.5 million, with $ 127.5 million of FDIs.
