Power Minister leads Indian delegation in IEA Ministerial
New Delhi – Eyeing at exploring the various dimensions of the energy sector, the Union Minister of State (IC) for Power and New & Renewable Energy, Raj Kumar Singh is leading the Indian delegation in the International Energy Agency (IEA) Ministerial held in Paris.
The Ministerial focuses on clean energy technology, energy security, and government-industry dialogue on investment and digitalization which would provide major opportunities for efficiency gains in the energy sector in the future.
Singh while addressing the Plenary Session on driving the Transitions to Clean Energy highlighted the importance of clean energy and assured the global industry that India would achieve the 175GW of renewable target soon.
The Minister also had a delegate level discussion with the French Minister of State for Ecological and Inclusive Transition, Brune Poirson.
Singh also had an important discussion with the US Secretary of Energy and Mr. James Richard Perry on various issues of Power and New & Renewable Energy.
India signed joint work programmes with IEA and other key members of the IEA Family i.e. Brazil, Chile, India, Indonesia and Thailand.
