New Delhi: POWERGRID has successfully commissioned/upgraded more than 25-year-old 220/132 kV Dimapur AIS Substation to GIS (Gas Insulated Substation) with additional 2 x 160 MVA, 220/132 kV Transformation Capacity to reduce maintenance and increase reliability & quality of power.
POWERGRID 220/132kV Dimapur GIS Substation has been dedicated to the nation on January 26, 2022, as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav being celebrated across the country. This system shall strengthen the power transmission network for Nagaland in particular and other North-Eastern states in general.
The present Transformation Capacity of Dimapur Substation has been increased to 420 MVA from the existing 200 MVA.
