PSEG offers homeowners $500 to install electric vehicle charging port
Homeowners who install an electric vehicle charging port are eligible to receive a one-time rebate of $500 from PSEG Long Island.
PSEG says the home charging ports can cost up to $1,200.
The company is also offering a $5,000 rebate to corporations, hospitals, municipalities and not-for-profits that install workplace charging stations.
The Developmental Disabilities Institute in Smithtown, a school for children with special needs, just installed the first of several charging stations planned for its facilities. The ports will be used to charge the institute’s electric vans and will also be available for employee use.
PSEG says the plan is to make charging stations for all types of cars.
