
Rajasthan CM approves land allocations for energy, industry, and water projects – EQ
In Short : Rajasthan Chief Minister has approved land allocations for key energy, industrial, and water projects to drive economic growth and infrastructure development. The decision will support renewable energy expansion, industrial investments, and water resource management, reinforcing Rajasthan’s position as a hub for sustainable and industrial progress.
In Detail : Bhajan Lal Sharma, the chief minister of Rajasthan, has authorised land distributions to support the development of renewable energy, water supply infrastructure, and industrial expansion.
The 2024-25 Budget allocates 74.50 hectares in Sindhiyon Ki Dhani and 102 hectares in Khemababa Nagar to Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation (RIICO). These lands will be used for developing Rajasthan Petrozone near the Pachpadra refinery. Work on the project is set to commence soon.
Developments in renewable energy, industrial growth, and water supply
Rajasthan Solar Park Development Company receives 4,000 hectares in Bodana village, Jaisalmer, for a 2,000 MW solar power project. Additionally, 31 hectares in Piplund village have been approved for a new industrial project RIICO.
The government earmarked 221 hectares in the Mandrayal Tehsil of Karauli for an additional reservoir in the Chambal-Sawai Madhopur-Karauli-Nadoti-Gangapur City water supply project. The major objective of this scheme is to supply accessible and safe drinking water to this area.
These initiatives highlight the government’s focus on industrial growth, energy independence, water access, and creating significant job opportunities for Rajasthan’s youth.
