Ram Charan Company signs agreement with Usain Bolt’s EV firm – EQ Mag Pro
Mumbai : Chennai – based renewable energy giant Ram Charan has announced a partnership with Bolt Mobility, a venture of former Olympic champion Usain Bolt.
Focused on small electric two-wheelers, Bolt Mobility is working with urban bodies and educational institutions to provide sustainable alternatives to transportation.
Commenting on the tie-up with Bolt Mobility on Sunday, Kaushik Palicha, Director, Ram Charan Company said, “Our investment is more in the form of technology partnership, but of course there is equity investment as well. The details of our equity investment will be intimated to Usain Bolt himself very soon.
Under the agreement, his group company – Indo Japan Polymers – will manufacture and supply chargers and super-chargers for Bolt vehicles, he said. These devices are mainly meant for small two-wheelers like mopeds and bikes and will be supplied from the plant in Chennai from September.
