Jaipur: Rajasthan Electronics and Instruments Limited (REIL), has been honored with ‘Rajasthan Energy Conservation Award- 2018’ First Prize. Shri A. K. Jain, Managing Director, REIL chaired the award distribution ceremony held, on the occasion of National Energy Conservation Day, at Indralok Auditorium, Jaipur. This prestigious award has been received by Shri Piyush Paliwal, Executive Director (Projects) on behalf of REIL in the gracious presence of Shri B. K. Dosi, Managing Director of Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Limited (RREC).
REIL had been given this award by Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Limited, in Government Building – Office Building Category, for its efficient energy management practices.
On this occasion, Managing Director REIL Shri A. K. Jain said that REIL has saved 0.64 lakh more units of electricity (49%) in the year 2017-18 as compared to the year 2016-17. The Company has saved 0.04 lakh units of electricity by incorporating advanced Energy-Efficient equipments in place of conventionally used ordinary manufacturing equipment in its various manufacturing processes. The Company has incorporated various other Energy Efficiency Measures (EEMs) in the building which resulted in reducing consumption of 0.60 lac units of electricity. Further, by producing 0.01 lac units of electricity through Solar Energy, the Company has continued its leadership in Green Energy and Energy Conservation Sector across the country.
Shri Jain expressed his gratitude to the valuable guidance (s) received from organizers, jury, Department of Heavy Industries, Government of India, Ministry of Electricity, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, RREC, Government of Rajasthan.
He congratulated the officers & employees of REIL and said that the Company will maintain its continuity in Electronics, Information technology and Renewable Energy based products and services, by giving importance to the conservation of energy for social and economical development of rural masses.
