ReNew and ACME likely to raise funds via InvITs: Sources

A day after the capital market regulator released a discussion paper to bring about amendments in the structure of infrastructure investment trusts (InvITs), road, power transmission and renewable power companies are also laying out plans to raise money via this route. According to sources ReNew Power and ACME Group are looking to raise funds via InvITs. Sources say ReNew Power aims to raise Rs 1500 crore via InvITs in order to acquire renewable power plants and ACME plans to raise Rs 600 crore. Sources say that both the companies are in talks with merchant bankers. ReNew Power and Acme are yet to respond to CNBC-TV18’s query.
