RERC Grid Interactive Distributed RE Generating Systems Regulations 2021
Rajasthan Electricity Regulatory Commission (Grid Interactive Distributed Renewable Energy Generating Systems) Regulations 2021 will extend to the whole state of Rajasthan. The provisions of the commission mention that the Rooftop and Small Solar Grid Interactive Systems commissioned under Net Metering agreements up to June 30, 2021, will continue to operate under the same till the period of the Connection Agreement.
The official notice stated that these Regulations would come into force from the date of publication in the Official Gazette. Rooftop and Small Solar Grid Interactive Systems will be governed as per the Rajasthan Electricity Regulatory Commission (Connectivity and Net Metering for Rooftop and Small Solar Grid Interactive Systems) Regulations, 2015 and subsequent amendments thereof.
The terms and conditions applicable for these projects will be according to their Connection Agreements. RERC (Grid Interactive Distributed Renewable Energy Generating Systems) Regulations, 2021, will govern further terms and conditions not stated in the PPAs of these projects.
The modified provisions in line with the commission’s order take account of check meter, Connected Load, Contract Demand, Distribution Licensee or Licensee, Electricity Supply Code, Eligible Consumer, Net Billing Arrangement, Interconnection Point, Net Metering Arrangement, Storage and Renewable Energy Service Company (RESCO).
Commission’s Proposal on Model Net Billing Connection Agreement includes Technical and Interconnection Requirements, Access and Disconnection, Liabilities, Commercial Settlement, Connection Costs and Termination.
RERC has issued regulations for the Installation of Grid Interactive Distributed Renewable Energy Generating Systems in the State. These regulations will apply to all such systems that are commissioned on or after July 1, 2021. Click here for further details on these regulations.
