RVCE team to represent India in solar car race

A team from R.V. College of Engineering will represent India in the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge (BWSC) 2017. Theirs is the only entry from India this year.
BWSC is a solar power-car race stretching 3,022 km across the breadth of Australia.
The team, called the RVCE Solar Car Team, comprises 20 undergraduate students from mechanical, electronics & communication and computer science sections. They designed an advanced electric car running entirely from power generated through solar panels fitted on the roof. The car was unveiled on Saturday.
The RVCE Solar Car Team was started in 2013 with the objective of promoting the use of solar energy in the transportation sector.
