Scheme Sanction for 1,000 MW CTU Connected Wind Power Projects in the Country

Government has sanctioned a scheme for setting up of 1,000 MW Central Transmission Utility (CTU) connected Wind Power Projects in the country. This was stated by Shri Piyush Goyal Minister of State (IC) for Power, Coal, New & Renewable Energy and Mines in a written reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha today The Minister further said that this Scheme will be implemented by Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) and the wind power projects will be selected through transparent e-bidding process.
