
Schneider Electric sets up Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru
New Delhi – Schneider Electric today announced setting up of a Centre of Excellence (CoE) situated in the premise of New Horizon College of Engineering (NHCE) in Bengaluru.
The training centre will carry out vocational training programmes in initial and continuing education in the fields of electricity, automation and energy management.
The tripartite pact was signed in Bengaluru between the The French Ministry of National Education, represented by Marianne de Brunhoff, Director to European and international relations and cooperation of the French Ministry of National Education, Schneider Electric India, represented by Shrinivas Chebbi, president, Partner and Eco Buildings, and NHCE represented by chairman Dr Mohan Maghnani.
************ Tata Power arm commissions 25 MW solar plant in Gujarat *
Tata Power arm Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd (TPREL), today announced that it has commissioned its 25 MW solar plant in Charanka, Gujarat Solar Park.
The company bagged the project in November 2016 under National Solar Mission through VGF (viability gap funding) mode, and its commissioning is earlier than timeline of December 2017.
With this development, TPREL’s total installed operating capacity now stands at 1,484 MW.
The solar plant has been built over 113 acres of land and sale of power from solar plant has been tied up under a 25 year Power Purchase Agreement with SECI (Solar Energy Corporation of India) at a tariff of Rs 4.43/ unit, it addded.
