The Senior Program Manager will be responsible for the overall planning and execution of complex development programs from concept through production ramp-up. He / She will work with Product Management, Engineering, Quality, and Operations to ensure overall coordination and execution of projects deliverables and schedules. The Program Manager must have considerable experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and demonstrate a high degree of project ownership and accountability. This position involves regular communication with executive management on status, risks and product strategy.
Duties & Responsibilities
Cross-functional project team leader responsible for developing overall program plan and driving execution to deliver on approved scope, schedule, cost and quality objectives.
Collaborate with team members, functional managers and other key stakeholders to secure commitments and to optimize schedule and resource utilization.
Prepare and present weekly program status to management communicating progress on deliverables, schedule, cost, risks and key technical issues.
Be an ambassador to the development process and conduct lessons-learned reviews for continuous improvement action.
Own the product testing and validation interface with vendors like UL and TUV.
Lead and motivate project teams to execute all deliverables on time and without sacrificing required product attributes and quality.
Work closely with functional managers to resolve resource conflicts or gaps and to facilitate issue resolution when needed.
Escalate critical program issues and project roadblocks, as necessary, and in a timely manner.
Analyze program risk and develop risk mitigation or contingency plans by working with appropriate subject matter experts and managers.
Contribute to continuous improvement on processes, tools, and metrics, proactively initiating changes when needed to ensure effectiveness. Maintain a focus on quality, predictability, sclability, repeatability, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Ensure projects are executed in accordance with ISO 9001 development procedures
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical/Electronics Engineering
7+ years of broad Program/Project Management experience in a Hardware product company; Overall experience of 15+ years
Experience in solar inverter or power supply products will be an added advantage
Demonstrated ability to manage complex technical programs and to drive numerous programs simultaneously
Excellent judgment, seasoned analytical skills, superior oral and written communication skills and an infectious can-do approach to work
Proficient with Microsoft applications, including MS ProjectProgram Management Professional (PgMP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification desirable.
