Job description
You will be a part of the Electrification Products division which manufactures low-voltage and medium circuit breakers, switches, control products, wiring accessories, enclosures and cable systems to protect people, installations, electronic equipment from electrical overload and KNX systems that integrate and automate a building’s electrical installations, ventilation systems, and security and data communication networks. This division provides low voltage solutions to connect, protect, control and measure a wide range of electrical installations, enclosures, switchboards, electronics and electromechanical devices thus improving the reliability and efficiency of its customers’ activities across all major industries including the residential sector.
Tasks
You should be responsible for the following activities as a Service Engineer:
Field Service Engineer for Solar inverters range from 1 KW to 1 MW and related solar PV solutions, working with customers throughout the India.
The primary role is to support customers, field installations, commissioning all related ABB products; typical customers like end users, solar integrators, EPC’s, Financiers/Developers and Distributors.
Provide field service expertise, service execution and build relationships with users.
Be the primary person to resolve inverter issues; hardware, firmware, application as needed.
Build customer confidence and ease customer experience by supporting fielded Our Solar Inverters supplied.
Be the regional expert and execution lead for field service best-practices, customer delight and efficiency.
Collaborate with sales and services teams to build relationships and support new projects with customers.
Requirements
Solar and/or energy industry services, commissioning, applications experience, 2-5 years is ideal with minimum qualification of Diploma/Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical/Electronic.
Knowledge of solar PV applications and technology (residential, commercial, utility, power conversion and renewables).
Experience executing field product performance; field repair, maintenance, diagnostics and uptime.
Knowledge with industry standards and codes (NEC, UL, IEEE, utility interactivity etc.)
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Outlook etc.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English language is must).
Multiplexer, agile, speed and problem solving oriented, systematic, organized, eager to travel regularly and with short notice for sake of customer satisfaction and field portfolio performance goals.
