Servtec to Build 15 MW in Solar DG in Sao Paulo & Bahia States – Report
Brazilian energy company Servtec will invest BRL 68 million (USD 16.3 million) in the acquisition and realisation of 15 MWp of solar distributed generation projects in Sao Paulo and Bahia states. Valor Economico reported that the four systems, which are scheduled to go into operation later this year, have been developed by local company SolarGrid. These schemes already have long-term power supply contracts negotiated with unnamed customers in the country’s telecommunications sector.
Up to now, Servtec’s efforts have been focused on wind and thermal power generation, but now it expects DG solar to reach a 20% share in revenues. The company has set itself a target to have around 200 MWp to 300 MWp of solar DG capacity in two years, president Pedro Fiuza was cited as saying.
