More than 30 GW in the monitoring portfolio; new commercial PV monitoring solution for European market
Berlin, May 13, 2019. In July 2018 skytron energy, one of Europe’s pioneering solar software and hardware companies, announced a merger with AlsoEnergy, the US-based leader for renewable energy software solutions. Today these companies announce their decision to move forward in global markets under the AlsoEnergy brand name, while continuing to develop and support existing skytron products. Complete sales and support services will continue in the European branch of the company, where quality management systems have recently achieved ISO 9001 certification. The joint monitoring portfolio currently comprises 30 GW of renewable energy capacity.
Along with AlsoEnergy’s acquisitions of US-based monitoring providers Locus Energy and Draker Energy, this forms a global company with offices in the US, Germany, Japan, and India. This also combines the expertise of each company’s personnel and intellectual property, driving a product catalog that spans residential to utility scale PV projects and serves the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, and the APAC region. “The great challenge for technology providers in the renewables market is turning all this data into actionable information for clients,” says Robert Schaefer, AlsoEnergy co-founder and CEO. “We are drawing on the experience and knowledge of our expanded team and our new clients to drive development of next generation solutions including predictive analytics and machine learning.”
New monitoring and control solution for commercial and industrial scale solar PV projects
Additionally, AlsoEnergy announces the forthcoming European market release of a monitoring and control solution designed for commercial and industrial (C&I) scale solar PV projects. AlsoEnergy C&I Solutions will fulfill regional market requirements including control functionality, FTP push and energy trading capabilities.
Planned for release in 2H 2019, C&I Solutions from AlsoEnergy will provide access to PowerTrack™ software, the leading platform that has established AlsoEnergy as the #1 commercial PV monitoring provider in the US in each of the past 5 surveys of the global solar monitoring marketplace (GTM Research). With full feature sets for analytics, diagnostics, reporting, and integrated CMMS, PowerTrack is a single platform encompassing monitoring, O&M, and asset management. The PowerTrack instance for EU-based clients and systems will be hosted in the EU to satisfy GDPR requirements.
AlsoEnergy and skytron energy will launch the new brand in Europe at the forthcoming Intersolar event in Munich, May 15-17. The combined company will exhibit in Hall B3, Booth176, where it will introduce new products for the European market, leveraging the global reach and expanded product catalog of the combined company portfolio.
