The All Energy Australia (AEA) exhibition opened at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. As Australia’s largest and most anticipated clean energy event, AEA attracted industry experts and participants from across the global renewable energy sector. The two-day event is bustling with activity, showcasing the latest innovations and developments in clean energy.

At booth JJ113, SOFAR made a grand appearance, unveiling its cutting-edge solar and energy storage solutions. Global attendees gathered to witness the progress of renewable energy and explore the future direction of the industry.

Australia’s Solar and Energy Storage Market: Rapid Growth Fueled by Innovation

Australia, with its abundant solar resources, has seen significant growth in its photovoltaic (PV) market, driven by technological advancements, declining costs, and government support through carbon taxes and incentive policies. Recent data shows that Australia added 4.6 GW of new PV capacity, with distributed PV accounting for 68%. Moreover, 2023 saw the installation of a record 57,000 residential battery storage systems, with total capacity reaching 656 MWh. The Australian solar and storage market is advancing at a remarkable pace.

01 Industry Recognition: Empowering Through Innovation

Leveraging years of expertise in the solar and storage sectors and cutting-edge technology, SOFAR has earned global recognition and praise from customers worldwide. At this year’s AEA, SOFAR was honored with the prestigious Top PV Inverter Brand Australia 2024 award from the leading research firm EUPD Research, further solidifying its reputation.

Since its founding in 2013, SOFAR has been committed to building a competitive edge in products, technology, market presence, and services. The company has established three global R&D centers and two large-scale manufacturing bases, continuously enhancing its innovation capabilities. SOFAR’s core product range includes 1-350kW PV inverters, 3-20kW energy storage inverters, energy storage batteries, and the SOFAR cloud monitoring platform. By the end of 2023, SOFAR had shipped a total of 31 GW of inverters globally, with products sold in over 100 countries and regions. Beyond Australia, SOFAR has established localized service platforms in the UK, Germany, South Korea, and over 20 other countries, contributing to the global transition to green and low-carbon energy.

02 Strengthening Localized Services in Australia

Australia has been a key focus of SOFAR’s global service strategy since 2016. By employing experienced local professionals and gaining a deep understanding of the specific needs of the Australian market, SOFAR has built a professional, localized team covering various aspects of service. Tailoring its solutions to Australia’s regulatory environment, SOFAR has developed diverse, personalized, and localized solar and storage solutions. Additionally, the company has established a local warehouse in Melbourne and an office service center in Sydney, optimizing the integration of renewable energy and reducing energy costs for businesses. This comprehensive approach enhances SOFAR’s marketing and supply chain service systems, making them more efficient and robust.

03 Leading the Future of Residential Energy Storage in Australia

According to industry data, the top five residential energy storage markets as of 2023 were Germany, Italy, Japan, the U.S., and Australia. One-third of Australian households are already using rooftop solar systems. Currently, most residential energy storage systems in Australia are designed as split systems, where the inverter and storage batteries are used separately. To maximize space efficiency for residential solar and storage equipment, SOFAR has introduced the PowerAll integrated residential solar and storage system. At this year’s AEA, SOFAR showcased its single-phase PowerAll and the newly launched three-phase PowerAll for 2024, providing comprehensive product consultations and face-to-face interactions with local customers.

As a pioneering product in SOFAR’s energy storage family, PowerAll has made significant strides in Australia, Europe, and other regions. The system’s modular design meets the diverse energy needs of households, allowing customers to freely choose battery modules and flexibly expand capacity. Featuring high energy density batteries, advanced battery management technology, and intelligent systems, PowerAll minimizes energy loss while helping users efficiently manage their household green energy supply.

Powering Australia’s Clean Energy Future

As a developed nation with abundant sunlight, Australia’s solar and storage market is on the rise. SOFAR will continue to deepen its localized service efforts in Australia, increasing investments in human, financial, and material resources to support the growth of the solar and storage market. With higher-quality products and services, SOFAR remains committed to helping Australia reduce carbon emissions, decrease pollution, and expand green energy adoption, injecting more “green power” into the country’s low-emission energy transition.
