Solar-Log™ integrates Canadian Solar as the 100th inverter provider
Solar-Log™ represents reliable, precise, intelligent and user-friendly monitoring of PV plants. Inverter independence is an essential part of SolarLog’s
monitoring advantage. This inverter independence resulted from the integration of the protocol from the leading 100 inverter provider into Solar-Log™. This guarantees installers very simple operations so that they only need to become familiar with a single monitoring system. They are also then free to provide customers any inverter that best match the needs of the plant operators. The PV system can be perfectly aligned with the communication of the installed monitoring system.
At Intersolar 2016, SDS will present the 100th inverter type compatible with the SolarLog™. When one considers this impressive number, it becomes clear that in the near future almost all inverters will be compatible with the Solar-Log™. The 100th inverter is from Canadian Solar Inc, a company that was founded by Dr. Shawn Qu in 2001 and focuses mainly on manufacturing and selling solar modules as well as Inverters and other BOS components for a full system solution. By expanding the compatibility with different inverters, SDS improves the flexibility of the Solar-Log™ even more. This is especially important for existing PV plants that still do not use monitoring and are equipped with different inverters; it makes the SolarLog™ very lucrative.
