Solar and Energy Storage Market Analyst
Summary:
IHS is the largest and leading provider of research to the solar and energy industries and currently looking to recruit a market analyst to support its rapidly growing and successful team. The team is located across various locations in Europe, China, India and USA. The successful candidate will be keen to apply strong analytical and communication skills to developing a deep understanding of the fast-paced solar industry, realizing valuable relationships with existing and potential clients, and produci
ng high quality in-depth reports to support the critical business decisions of our customers.
General Job Duties:
Collect, manage and analyse market data to track and identify market trends in the solar industry
Create high quality quantitative and quality market reports analyzing the statusand outlook for the solar industry. Work with a large and global analyst team to co-ordinate viewpoints and align da
ta and forecasts. Develop excellent relationships with solar companies to better understand their
perspectives, views, opinions and needs as well as present to them our views, fo
recasts and advice. Write and distribute regular research notes that analyse latest news and develop
ments in the solar industry to both clients and press.
Support client requests by providing quick and comprehensive answers to question
s about research findings. On-site and by phone presentations are regularly requ
ired. Work with our global sales and marketing teams to promote our research, and supp
ort client renewals to ensure commercial targets are met.
Knowledge and Skills:
Ability to effectively manage projects and product lines
Knowledge of MS applications required (Excel, Word and PowerPoint); experience w
ith databases highly preferred.
Good oral and written communication and presentation skills.
Organization skills including the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Contributes to the research agenda
Typical Experience:
Experience of market analysis and/or directly related experience within the solar industry is desirable, but not essential. A quick learner with the right attitude, but no experience, will be equally considered.
Education and Certifications:
Relevant University degree (Bachelors or equivalent).
Graduate degree highly desirable
Physical Requirements / Working Environment:
Ability to physically perform general office requirements.
Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable ac

Some occasional domestic travel may be required.
