Solar mini-grid in Pench buffer inaugurated

The solar-mini grid project was inaugurated by chief wildlife warden Shree Bhagwan at Ghatpendhri village in the buffer zone of Pench on Tuesday.The renewable energy project, known as Kiran Prabha Solar Mini Grid, generating 2.4KV energy, has been set by Satpuda Foundation and Conservation Action Trust (CAT).
Looking at the hardship of villagers and remoteness, Ghatpendhri was selected by Satpuda Foundation for implementing the project. Of the 200 households, 76 are connected to the solar mini-grid in the first phase.Bhagwan inspected houses and spoke to villagers about the solar home lightning system. Debi Goenka of CAT, Kishor Rithe of Satpuda Foundation and Sudeepto Ghosh of SELCO were present.
