Solar power generation contributing towards nation’s development
Jamshedpur: All India Seminar on “Major Advances in Renewable Energy Sources and their Application” organized at The Institution of Engineers (India) Jamshedpur Local Centre began on Friday.
The seminar was attended by working engineers from different companies and educational institution basically Tata Steel, ISWP, Jusco, Tata Power, NIT , RVS College of Engineering , Maryland Institute of Technology and Management etc.
The chief Guest of the inauguration function was Dr. S P Singh, Vice-chancellor, Himalayan University Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh (Ex- V.C, Vir Kuwar Singh University, Bihar). In his inaugural address Singh stressed on the importance of Renewable Energy and their application in current environment to reduce the global warming and carbon footprint. In India the generation of Electricity through solar, wind, Hydrogen and Ocean sources are increasing and contributing towards nation’s development.
All to gather there are 18 papers being presented by different organization like Relyon Soler(Pune) , LN India , Tata Steel, Tata Power Solar, Ugam Chemicals, NIT JSR, RVS College of Engineering , Maryland Institute of Technology etc. Faculty members had rich experience of theoretical knowledge, practical applications and field problems. The seminar is being conducted in VI sessions in two days out of which 1st day program are over.
Dinesh Kr Prasad, Organizing Secretary of the seminar presided over the function and Dr. A K Choudhary Hony. Secretary proposed the vote of thanks.
