Solar rooftop power project
Renewable Energy Development Agency (MANIREDA) has set a target to generate 5 MG of power through solar rooftop power plants this year. A meeting of the top officials of MANIREDA, MSPDCL and project implementing agencies was held with Chief Secretary O Nabakishore in the chair today, said an official source. A detailed presentation on the empanelled agencies which would take up the project was made during the meeting, the source said and added that the project would be implemented at private houses in the first phase.
The source further said that the concerned households can install the solar plants of their choice KW. Saying that the power generated by this project would be sold to Power Grid, the source said that the State Government has proposed to sell it at Rs 5 per unit. Ministry of New Renewable Energy had released the subsidy of Rs 2 crore for the first phase, the source added.
