Solartive bagged the prestigious tender under the PM Kusum Yojana from Jharkhand Renewable Energy Development Agency (JREDA) to deliver solar pumps to farmers across the state. This project, valued at approximately ₹48.8 crore (including GST), is set to revolutionize the agricultural sector and allied industries in the state by providing sustainable and efficient irrigation solutions. The letter of award issued by JREDA provides rights to Solartive to design, manufacture, supply, transport, install, test and commission solar water pumping systems (SWPS) on a turnkey basis for irrigation purposes at different districts in Jharkhand under Component-B of PM-KUSUM Scheme, Phase III.

The initiative aims to address the irrigation challenges farmers face, particularly those in remote areas with limited access to reliable electricity. By implementing solar pump technology, Solartive will enable farmers to harness solar energy, ensuring a consistent water supply for their crops. This will enhance agricultural productivity and reduce dependency on conventional power sources, leading to significant cost savings for the farmers.

Solar pumps are expected to create a wave of positive changes in Jharkhand’s agriculture sector. With improved irrigation facilities, farmers can cultivate a wider variety of crops, increase their yields, and extend the growing season. This will contribute to greater food security and higher incomes for the farming community. Additionally, the adoption of solar technology aligns with national goals of promoting green energy and reducing carbon emissions, furthering the state’s commitment to environmental sustainability.

Mr. Fayyaz Ashraf, Managing Director of Solartive, expressed his views on the project, stating, “We are honoured to be part of this transformative initiative. The PM Kusum Yojana marks a significant advancement in empowering farmers with sustainable energy solutions. We aim to empower regional farmers with reliable and cost-effective solar pumps that will enhance agricultural practices, improve livelihoods, and contribute to the overall development of Jharkhand’s rural economy.”

Solartive has a proven track record of successfully implementing various ESCO, Solar, IoT-based IT, and infrastructure projects under central and state government initiatives such as Jal Jeevan Mission, PM-Kusum, and Panghat Yojna. This latest achievement reaffirms Solartive’s commitment to delivering value through innovative products and services. By driving the adoption of green energy solutions, the company plays a pivotal role in creating a sustainable future for Jharkhand.

Solartive dedication to quality and excellence will ensure that the implementation process is smooth and efficient, bringing lasting improvements to the state’s agricultural landscape within the stipulated timeframe.
