SolarTown Receives GRANT Support From USICEF
The team of SolarTown Energy Solutions Pvt. Ltd. is pleased to announce that it has been selected by US-India Clean Energy Finance (USICEF) to receive grant support for project preparation activities. With ~15 MW of projects in pipeline, the grant will provide us with a competitive edge by providing essential early-stage project preparation support.
SOLARTOWN has consistently raised more than 1m USD + in various forms of capital and developed projects for corporates and SMEs in the ZERO DOWN model where the customer pays for no capital cost and only for the power over a 15 year tenure. The team is also closing out an undisclosed amount of equity transaction to scale this model and is in advanced negotiations for the same.

USICEF aims to accelerate progress towards India’s renewable energy and energy access goals, by supporting early stage development of distributed solar power projects and helping to catalyze long-term financing. In line with the program’s objectives and pursuant to a detailed selection process, we have been awarded the grant support for various project preparatory activities including Technical Feasibility and Engineering Design, Legal Support and Financial Advisory Services.
