Solarvest wins contract for 17-MW solar project in Malaysia

Malaysian photovoltaic (PV) plants builder Solarvest Holdings Bhd (KLSE:SLVEST) has won an engineering, procurement, construction, and commission contract for a 17.36-MW solar project in Malaysia.
The MYR-66-million (USD 15.6m/EUR 13.3m) contract was awarded by Grooveland Sdn. Bhd. Solarvest will construct the solar farm in Mukim Bota in the state of Perak.
With the latest award, Solarvest has secured contracts worth a total of about MYR 196 million as part of the fourth round of the national Large Scale Solar (LSS) programme. The company’s unbilled order book has reached a record level of MYR 400 million, it said.
After pocketing three contracts in Malaysia in two months, Solarvest also expects to secure jobs in markets such as Taiwan and the Philippines in the near future.
