sPower and Rosendin Electric Enter Agreement to Provide Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) Services for 2016 Construction Portfolio
sPower, a leading renewable energy provider, and Rosendin Electric, Inc. (REI), one of the nation’s largest private electrical contractors, announced recently that they have entered into a major engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) agreement to construct nearly 700MW in utility-scale solar PV projects in 2016.
“Aligning ourselves with Rosendin marks one of the key strategic relationships that sPower has prioritized as we look to double our operating portfolio in 2016,” said sPower CEO, Ryan Creamer. “We are confident that Rosendin’s depth of experience with solar facility construction will be instrumental in executing our aggressive development plans.”
At the height of construction, sPower’s projects will provide more than 900 jobs. Construction is scheduled to begin in January, with completion and grid connection projected for April through December 2016.
“We are thrilled to team with sPower. They have established themselves as a leader in the industry with a solid reputation for responsible development and strong financial backing,” said David Lincoln, Vice President, REI’s Renewable Energy Group. “This agreement represents a significant portion of solar within our renewables group. sPower projects will have our full attention.”
