Statkraft commissions 76 MW solar power plant in Tamil Nadu – EQ Mag Pro

Nellai solar park is a 55 MW (AC) and 76 MW (DC) project located at Ettanakulam village in Manur Taluk in Tirunelveli district in the state of Tamil Nadu in India.
Nellai Renewables Private Limited acquired the 200.13-acre land required for the PV solar ground mount project in 2021.
The construction site is located at Ettanakulam village, which receives abundant sunlight and enough wind to make it suitable for locating solar and wind power plants.
The solar power plant will be commissioned with photovoltaic modules with a total capacity of 76 MWp. A 230 KV transmission line with a length of 2.5 kilometres will connect the plant to the nearest transmission utility grid, TANTRANSCO.
Nellai solar plant will generate an estimated 124 GWh annually.
