Suzlon order wins continue; receives maiden order of 105 MW from Greenko Group
The Suzlon Group, one of the leading global renewable energy solutions providers,recently announced its maiden order win of 105MW (50 units of S97 120m 2100kW WTG with Hybrid Tower) from Greenko Group, the largest renewable Independent Power Producer (IPP), with over 1 GW of operating assets. The project will be located in Andhra Pradesh, India and will be progressively commissioned by January 2017. Speaking on the order win Mr. Ishwar Mangal, Chief Sales Officer, Suzlon Group, said, “We are delighted to partner with Greenko. It is a clear indication of the traction in overseas IPPs’ engagement with sustainable renewable technologies like wind energy. The Indian Government’s thrust on renewables and its conducive policies have encouraged IPPs to foray in the renewable energy sector. Today, IPPs are integral to our capacity build up in India.”
