Ingeteam: Freedom Won, a leading energy storage system manufacturer, has approved the use of its Freedom Lite HV battery with the Ingeteam INGECON® SUN STORAGE 1Play hybrid inverter.
With a maximum energy storage capacity ranging from 5 to 80 kWh, this lithium-iron phosphate (LFP) battery is designed for residential and business use, storing electricity and optimizing the energy efficiency of the installation, thanks to the stabilization of the power supplied.
For its part, the Ingeteam inverter makes it possible to connect a PV array and a battery bank to the same unit, thereby reducing the cost of the system as a whole. This is a 3 or 6 kW single-phase transformerless inverter, directed at residential and commercial installations.
Thanks to the combination of the Ingeteam inverter and Freedom Won battery, it is possible to store the solar energy generated during the day, to be used for night-time consumption, thereby achieving the highest possible self-consumption rates, and even offering the possibility of reaching complete energy self-sufficiency. Moreover, there is no longer a risk of an electricity supply failure during grid outages.
On the other hand, the Ingeteam hybrid inverter is also compatible with the Freedom Won 52 Vdc low voltage batteries.
About Freedom Won
Freedom Won is a South African company founded in 2011 with the completion of its first electric vehicle conversion prototype. The Lithium battery technology used in the electric vehicle Freedom Won conversion systems proved to be so efficient that the company started to develop solutions for stationary energy storage systems using this same technology.
The commissioning of these energy storage solutions started in 2014 and, in April 2015, the company launched its new Freedom Lite battery, offering a lithium-iron phosphate solution in a stylish, compact, integrated wall-mounted model for residential and business use.
