In Detail : Bhubaneswar : Odisha Energy Department today launched the ‘Go Green’ Portal (https://greenenergyinvest.odisha.gov.in/), a green initiative of the Government of Odisha, to facilitate Renewable Energy development in the state as mandated by OREP-2022 by providing a single window platform for RE developers.
The portal, developed by GRIDCO, was launched by the Additional Chief Secretary, Energy Department, Govt. of Odisha, GRIDCO chairman Nikunja Bihari Dhal at the Kharavel Bhawan here.
Launching the web portal, ACS, Energy said that this is a user-friendly platform and shall facilitate the prospective RE developers for clearance of their RE projects. It will further boost the mechanism to monitor the RE project approval process.
This portal will streamline the review and approval process for RE projects and shall provide a secure and efficient means for project registration, tracking, and communication. It will also facilitate for Development, Implementation, and maintenance of renewable energy projects in the state.
GRIDCO has been designated as the nodal agency for implementing the Odisha RE policy in the state. 7 Solar PV projects with a cumulative capacity of 202.27 MW have been approved with an investment of Rs. 762.39 crore so far. Further, the single window committee has approved to carry out studies for setting up a 49.50 MW wind project at Deomali Hills, Koraput with an estimated investment of Rs. 375 cr.
