Topaz Solar Farms Receives Payment From PG&E for Post-Petition Energy Deliveries
DES MOINES, Iowa: Consistent with the terms of its power purchase agreement with Pacific Gas and Electric Company, Topaz Solar Farms LLC today received full contract payment for January 2019 post-petition energy deliveries to PG&E. As was expected, and pursuant to applicable bankruptcy law, Topaz did not receive payment for its pre-petition January energy deliveries at this time.
While monitoring PG&E’s financial situation, Topaz continues to perform its obligations under the parties’ power purchase agreement. Topaz also meets regularly with all interested stakeholders, including government officials and geothermal, biomass, solar and wind organizations and trade associations, to review and provide input on renewable energy policy.
